memories, like the corners of my mind...

This past week would have been the birthday of my cousin Patricia Franklin Brown.  It has been less than a year since she went home to glory, and I thought I would post this sweet picture from 1959 this week:                       Pat with her little brother Jerry Kirby and her mother, my aunt Emily Franklin Kirby Jones. I am sure they are enjoying Heaven together, but we sure do miss you down here! 

Honor thy father and mother

We took mom and dad to place new fall flowers on my grandparents' graves.  First, we visited Thompson Chapel Cemetery above where Dad's Father and Mother are buried.  Then we traveled to Caroleen, NC to visit the grave site of Mom's Father and Mother.  

It has been a long time since they passed, but it is nice to know they are remembered!
